Over the last few years I found my very own, self-taught way of doing lights. Most important to me are perfect timing, simplicity, continuity, a discreet choise of colours,
mainly symmetrical positions and shapes, and the perfect amount of haze, so colours can mix up nicely in cloudy textures. As a matter of course the goal is to support the mood of the music, and at best, to boost the musical experience to a higher level. I am exclusively using faders and no flash-buttons or cue-lists, which adds a more human feel to the show.
All pictures were taken by several photographers on our European tours with The Ocean, Mono and Alcest in 2015 and 2016.
